چکیده

The multi-faceted benefits of growing crops under protected cultivation are gradually establishing it as a promising technology for vegetable in India. However, the adoption successive cropping patterns soil-based closed structures is leading to buildup soil-borne pathogens and pests, which becoming major hindrance sustainable production these crops, particularly northern plains. Root-knot nematodes (RKNs) critical threat farmers required contribute significant amount time money their management. To reduce overdependence chemicals, present study explored potential plant-based by-products amendments management RKN cucumbers grown plastic greenhouse. A pot trial was conducted assess efficacy different against cucumber plants. results revealed that application mustard cake (MC) neem (NC) at 1 t ha−1 either alone or combined with farmyard manure (FYM) 2.5 effective infestation, reflecting improved plant growth parameters cucumber. Based on trials, treatments FYM i.e., T1: MC ha−1; T2: NC T3: T4: + ha−1, along treated check carbofuran 3 G 2 kg (a.i.) (T5) untreated (T6), were evaluated multi-locational field trials. tha−1 exhibited decreasing infestation (56–58%) all three RKN-infested polyhouses, significantly enhanced yields locations. Soil organic carbon also increased amended plots, indicating soil health. work hold good promise an environment friendly approach, additional incentives

Screening and identification of cucumber germplasm and rootstock resistance against the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita).

Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp) are destructive agricultural pests that reduce the productivity of cultivated vegetables worldwide, especially when vegetables are cropped continuously in greenhouses. Cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.), in particular, suffer extensive damage due to root-knot nematodes, and only a few wild species are known to be resistant. Grafting of cultivated plants to root...
